Follow-up Comment #8, bug #53456 (project octave):

I think if someone is going to look at adding more options to output_precision
as in comment #7, that's an Octave 5 development task, not something that will
be done for 4.4.

So for Octave 4.4, the output_precision remains as it is, with an error if the
user tries to set the value larger than 16. Do we want to do anything about
that for Octave 4.4, like change the error into a warning, allow the user to
set a higher limit but have no effect on how doubles and singles are
displayed?
