Details:

If you type something on the commandline and want to clear that input, Ctrl-C
used to abort the entry and give you a new, empty prompt. This behaviour has
changed, Ctrl-C has no effect to the input at all. You can only use Backspaces
to clear the line.

If you have entered a partial expression with some open brackets  


a(((((


and press Enter, there is no way at all to get back to the empty prompt except
closing all brackets first and press Enter to produce an error. Closing the
gui also does not work anymore in this state.
