Follow-up Comment #27, bug #54202 (project octave):
Also, if anyone needs a temporary workaround to build Octave 4.4.0 with Perl
5.28.0 installed, on GNU/Linux systems the open file limit can be easily set
to a much higher number with 'ulimit -n 10000' for example.
