I've tested. That looks appropriate.
As for getting the file information:
debug> dbwhere
stopped in yourtest at line 7 [/home/sebald/matlab/bug/54231/yourtest.m]

[I clicked the Step-In GUI button]
debug> dbwhere
stopped in ggg at line 4
JWE would know what the issue is. It seems like the information should be
readily available, given that the line number is known.
