Follow-up Comment #15, bug #43922 (project octave): Changeset http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/d3c6de326bae re-implements the link between delete, unlink, and rmdir and possible open editor files in the gui without the problems on Windows (at least on my Windows 7 system).
