Follow-up Comment #15, bug #40111 (project octave): This change only works on x86 platforms or platforms with Java 9 or later. I'm pretty confident that many systems now do have Java 9 or later. Are we ok with intentionally excluding systems such as arm or powerpc that have Java 8 or older?
