Follow-up Comment #43, bug #54396 (project octave): You mean, persuade the IT dept. to completely overthrow the entire company-wide IT architecture? You must be kidding :-) Seriously, I and my colleagues have to make do with what the company offers to its employees, and my concern is that this virtualization is going to be the standard on more and more work environments, hitherto for more and more (potential) Octave users. I can only access "my own" "powerbox" from a completely locked down basic standard virtual client w/o any special privileges.
