Follow-up Comment #82, bug #44916 (project octave):
Sure, I think you can do that, provided that you are referencing all the
symbols through pointers. So when you load the new library, you reassign all
the pointers so that you call functions from the new library. I assume that's
what Qt's QOpenGLFunction class does. It's also the way the JVM is supposed
to work, but good luck unloading/reloading that one! Well, it didn't seem to
work for me anyway...
