Details:

During debugging a function I often make changes to the function to correct
its behavior. The GUI frequently hangs when saving this changes before
stopping debugging. This does not happen every time but when doing it
frequently it does happen sooner or later.

Steps to reproduce are:
0 Set a break point into a function with GUI
0 Run function until break point
0 Do some editing
0 Press Ctrl+s to save changed function
0 if GUI continues to work, stop debugging and repeat procedure from step 1.
