Follow-up Comment #5, bug #55072 (project octave): Regarding comment #4. I think the problem mentioned is that the docstring (help printf) contains this reference to the GNU Octave manual, and on the other hand at that very same location of the manual [1] the docstring itself is printed (recursive reference?!) ^^ Do you suggest it would be more helpful to refer in "printf" to the section above "14.2 C-Style I/O Functions" [2], where one can find much more information in the respective subsections?
