Follow-up Comment #6, bug #55139 (project octave): If I follow correctly, the issue is that setting Octave's internal code page to "system" fails somehow when Qt is compiled with ICU. Is this correct? If I correctly understand the code, we call "octave_locale_charset_wrapper" to get the current locale of the system if the mfile_encoding is set to "system". So why doesn't it return a valid code page name with ICU? @JohnD: Which locale does your Windows use?
