Update of bug #55245 (project octave): Status: Confirmed => Wont Fix Open/Closed: Open => Closed _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #9: In general, Octave validates its inputs more strictly than Matlab to prevent Garbage In / Garbage Out. In this case, I think it is useful for the programmer to be made aware that the input was not a character string as was likely expected.
