Follow-up Comment #16, bug #56097 (project octave):
As expected octave hangs after unlink ("abc")
1. I have Suse Leap 15.0 with many tools added in /usr/local (almost all
installed by tar balls)
There are not enough tools in Leap 15.0
2. My system is not hardened
3. gcc (GCC) 8.3.0 and /lib/libc-2.26.so
4. I built from tar ball octave-5.1.0.tar.gz
5. No options. I did ./configure ; make ; make install
