Follow-up Comment #58, bug #46451 (project octave):

I'm attaching an updated patch that uses "@class_name/method_name" for the
name reported by `dbstatus`.
That is still incompatible with Matlab. But at least it is consistent to how
we report debug break points in legacy classes.

It also fixes a couple other issues with the previous patch.
