Follow-up Comment #9:

With the attached patch, the configure script should be emitting a meaningful
warning and skip building the respective parts if linking to libsundials_core
fails (with SUNDIALS 7). For SUNDIALS prior to version 7, it should no longer
be emitting a warning about a missing SUNDIALS core library.

Does that avoid the warning on your system? Does building __ode15__.oct still
work correctly?
