dicom, medical imaging toolbox

Hello,

 

I am trying to start a toolbox for medical imaging, focused mainly on the use of the file format DICOM.  From the array of functions that I have seen for GNU Octave, there may even be a need to start with a few generic functions covering histograms, morphing, etc. 

 

Any further input would be appreciated.
