Tarm,

This is a function from the matlab control toolbox, therefore this
function should probably go in the octave-forge control toolbox as we
are avoid to add additional non core functions to Octave itself. I'd
prefer if the maintainers of code looked after committing and
maintaining themselves. So can you read
