Thanks for all the suggestions. However, I think it may be out of my hands.
Regarding the comments about old or wrong versions, I just want to add this:
This is a brand new computer, and I loaded RHEL5 onto it from the ISO's
provided by Red Hat just a few days ago. The computer is connected to Red
Hat Network and is up-to-date. But I do understand that some of what Red Hat
provides are not the most recent versions. Indeed, maybe this is an issue
for Red Hat to resolve, but if the package were compatible with the current
RHEL5 it would be nice. It must be hard to support all the different
versions of Linux that are out there!
