It would be helpful if the hg message included slightly more
information so that it is useful in finding a specific patch (by
looking at the recent changes with hg view, for example).

A ChangeLog entry should say what changed.  Otherwise, pretty much
every ChangeLog entry could be just these three words...

I'd rather not include links like this in the Octave source code.  It
seems unlikely that they will remain valid.

Would you please send an updated ChangeLog entry?  I can fix the rest
when I apply the changeset.
