It looks like the possible problems are related to whether
additional headers are necessary or not. Without code using FTGL
headers, there's no way to test any build changes related to
those headers. The most anyone outside those working with FTGL
can do is blindly modify configure.in to make it work, and those
blind modifications may make merging final support more
difficult.
