I'm not exactly sure, but I think using our current fltk_backend
analogy, cairo would be a replacement for OpenGL, not fltk since cairo
itself is just a canvas -- it has no widgets etc... Cairo is great for
2D -- much better than OpenGL IMHO, but has no support for 3D, which
is a bit problematic ....
