Yes, of course. I'm not expecting you or anyone else to work on this.
I'm interested on working on it myself, and I'm very chatty and like
to talk a lot about what I do are am planning to do.

Well, contrary to popular belief, not all change sucks. ;-)

I saw someone implement such a worksheet interface in Qt for GAP[1],
which usually operates on a manner very similar to Octave with scripts
and a terminal. GAP even uses readline too, so it might even be easy
to adapt this Qt GUI for Octave... Hm... but that means developing for
QtOctave instead of OctaveDE.

Ack. It's hard to choose on what to focus my attention.
