copyright notices in the examples directory...

When I wrote the appendix on oct/mex files I deliberately didn't include 
copyright notices in these example files. The reason is that this code 
is included directly in the appendix together with the copyright notice 
that is often longer than the example itself. This makes the appendix on 
oct/mex files harder to read. Also I'd prefer that the mex examples were 
public domain..

Could I request that the copyright notices are removed from the 
examples.. If you feel that a copyright is necessary place it in a file 
in the examples directory next to these files.
