octave:3> isreal (i*i)
ans =  1
octave:4> isreal (-i*i)
ans = 0

why by all heavens does Octave do this?
Right now I cannot think of a reason.  And, Matlab says:
>> isreal(i*i)

ans =

     1

>> isreal(-i*i)

ans =

     1

>>

That's an extra 0.5 point in favor of a change.
