I noticed that when a change is made to one of liboctave .cc files, "make" relinks liboctinterp, octave and all oct files after rebuilding liboctave. Is this really necessary? I think it isn't, and IIRC this wasn't the case in the previous system.
There's an easy workaround by just doing make -C liboctave, so it's no big deal.
