Have you added ...

#ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H
#include <config.h>

... to the top of gl2ps.c? This change resolved the problem you're seeing for 
me.

I'd been unaware of the -D_REENTRANT option. Instead, I'd been adding ...

#if !defined (_REENTRANT)
#define _REENTRANT
#endif
#include <cmath>
#undef _REENTRANT

... to lo-specfun.cc
