I just built including Jaroslav's last 3 changesets. Something in these
updates
appears to have fixed the svds.m inconsistency. I reran make check a few
times and there were no svds.m test failures. I looked quickly at the
changes,
but it is not obvious what might have affected svds in this way.
Anyhow, unless others have a different experience, the svds problem seems
to have gone. (I did check that my patch was not in the source that I
used.)
