'values' might mean return entries not equal to 0, return the absolute
values, or something else. I would need to check the documentation each time.
I think there are a bunch of functions in the main tree that were written by
Kurt Honick in order emulate R/SPLUS. For the most part, I think they should be
obsolesced, or rewritten to throw errors pointing toward the more conventional
MATLAB approaches.
