OK.  I just tested the rebuilt system on the server.  It now has
the patched scripts/plot/__print_parse_opts__.m, but it behaves
like before: seg faults after "GL2PS error: Bad file pointer." 
Something about the long time it takes GL to write the plot is
causing corruption.
