I think Michael already agreed to a change like this.

Do you mean about the uicontrol implementation? Yes I saw that, but it 
is pretty advanced code (at least for me). So I have difficulties to 
give meaningful comments, especially about the threaded code. If my time 
allows, I will start the FLTK part for uicontrol maybe next year.
