I have set up a separate bugtracker to not confuse octave-related bugs with these that are related (or produced by) the GUI environment. If any bugs occur through the usage of the GUI, please report them here (please test if it does not apply to the CLI version of octave). On the other hand, if you like to join the work by testing or coding this might be a good place to find a task you'd like to accomplish.
