John,

I accidentally checked in the following two changesets on 'stable' rather
than 'default':

12700:9843b3b055e0
Fix bug with initial conditions in filter (Bug #32741).

12699:c0d102ad9bba
Fix loading of objects in MAT-files (bug #32641).

Through a periodic merge of stable to default they are now also on the
default branch. Is it worth trying to remove these from the stable
branch or should we just let it go?

I think it would be possible to export the changes as patches, use patch
-R to apply them in reverse, and then check in the undone files on the
stable branch. After that a merge to default where the changes are not
accepted would probably have the desired effect.
