I'm still on 3.2.4, because I couldn't get anything newer to run on OSX.

3.4.2 compiled ok, but then ./run-octave blew up with some memory corruption.

Yesterday in the evening, I pulled the mercurial repo, but before I can try to 
build that, I have to update my autotools first ...
