I started seeing this problem:

  ./debug.texi:455: Cross reference to nonexistent node `doc-profexplore' 
(perhaps incorrect sectioning?).
  ./debug.texi:415: Cross reference to nonexistent node `doc-profexplore' 
(perhaps incorrect sectioning?).
  makeinfo: Removing output file 
`/home/jwe/src/octave/doc/interpreter/octave.info' due to errors; use --force 
to preserve.
