It never rains, but it pours.  Who would have thought that the issue would
actually come up on the day we found it?  I also don't care strongly about
this so I vote for letting it slide until 3.6. 

On the positive side, that means a Mac OS, several Linux, and a MinGW build
have all been successful.  The remaining outstanding configuration is
Cygwin build.
