| OK, I thought this had been fixed, but apparently not.  I know we've
| discussed it before and I thought we concluded that it was OK to have
| cd work differently if nargin == 0 && nargout == 1.

I checked in the following change:

Can anyone think of a good reason to not have cd behave this way?
