Aw, sorry. I tried to pick dates that were likely to be the summer
break in the northern hemisphere (and not too hot, June is usually not
as hot as July). The local universities finish their winter term
around May Day. When could be a better time?

The dates are still flexible, but I want to have them almost finalised
by January. Right now it's a bad time to talk to people because
everyone is busy with the holidays.

If it's a matter of just moving the date one week after or before,
that could work. I also just noticed that the CRM, which I hope can
offer us support, is also hosting a Sage Days in May. I'm hoping to
pitch them OctConf like another Sage Days. It may be a hard sell,
because it seems there are lots of local researchers who use Matlab,
but I can't find any of them mentioning Octave. Nevertheless, I remain
hopeful.
