The gui and default branch are practically the same thing, except the
gui branch has an extra directory. The GUI branch was created mostly
to not interfere with the stable release. Now that the code has moved
to stable, I think it may be time to merge the gui branch onto
default, get rid of the gui branch, and start to think ahead of how to
actually release the GUI for Octave 4.0... or is this too crazy?
