Anyways,

I get the following error during the tests. Even if you said that it
would be better to build from the snapshot, I already had the source
from Mercurial and thought that they are pretty much the same. Maybe the
last changeset id may tell something:

the test on the snapshot is to verify that the package is not missing
anything needed by the various distros for the correct building;
just last checklist before releasing the 3.6.0.

changeset:   14086:41511cce0488
branch:      stable
tag:         tip
user:        Rik<address@hidden>
date:        Wed Dec 21 10:12:40 2011 -0800
summary: test: Fix 2nd demo for slice() (bug #35143)

I didn't make any changes.

I ran autogen.sh, configure, fixed missing libraries and make. It
compiles successfully. But when I make "make check", I get one FAIL in

...
   src/ov-oncleanup.cc .................................... PASS
0/1    FAIL 1
...

   scripts/general/profile.m
..............................profiler.cc:400: void
profile_data_accumulator::add_current_time(): Assertion `last_time>=
0.0&&  last_time<= t' failed.
panic: Aborted -- stopping myself...
make[1]: *** [check] Aborted

Do you have any ideas? Is this a problem for my possible bug fixes or such?

on which system and which compiler ?
are you starting from a clean repository and build tree ?

ov-oncleanup.cc was previously compiled as oct and currently is
integrated on the main dlls.
