3.6.1 compiled, ran make
check, and installs on RHEL 5. The only problem was with documentation generation. The generation of doc-cache fails as shown in the attached. I seem to remember an email reporting a similar problem, but none of my searches located it. So, do you know if this problem is due to the makeinfo from texinfo-4.8-14 or from some other cause?
