I've updated qt4-mac and am now able to build with the gui enabled.

Are you able to get the GUI to display?  I could not, but noticed that you 
mentioned that the GUI does not work with OS X yet.  Also I was able to build 
with gcc 4.7.2.  I know that you build with gcc 4.5.
