I do not know how much will Octave directly obtain for their work and
since their are younger people they will need more supervision and
guidance.
I do this kind of activities on my own initiative and I can tell it
requires lots of time to make the students get a positive reaction.
At the same time, a certificate a shirt and a potential trip to google
would not motivate the usual students I deal with (Argentina, not main
city, almost rural areas).
On the other hand is a way to introduce GNU Octave to future
generations and guarantee its continuation.
I guess that if somebody has the time it would not hurt to do it.
