Should we link instead for the nabble archives instead? It allows to
search, has a nicer thread view, allows to cross search with the other
Octave mailing lists, and already displays a warning at the top about
being closed. I also find it faster to load.

What do you think? Is there an advantage for the one in SF? What about
not linking to the old octave-dev mailing list there in specific, but
for the whole Octave on nabble instead? Users searching the archives
most likely do not care on which mailing list the info is (and they
wouldn't know the difference between them anyway) while the ones who
do know, can simply choose it from the sub-forums button.

Here's the 4 possibilities that I see at the moment (there's other
websites with the mailing list archives that I didn't take a look at):

* original SF archives
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=octave-dev
* nabble all octave http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/
* nabble octave-dev http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/Octave-Dev-f4632369.html
* nabble choose sub-forum
http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/Octave-f1599824.subapps.html
