Two build reports, MinGW & Mageia 2 (Linux):

Mageia-2 (w all dependencies):
------------------------------
Summary:

  PASS 10211
  FAIL 0

MinGW (native), gcc-4.5.2 using Tatsuro's gcc-4.6.2 dependencies
----------------------------------------------------------------
After having applied the usual fixes (include unistd.h twice in 4 files
etc.).
I've used --enable-docs=no, I think that part of my build tools may be too
much out-of-date or improperly installed. Tatsuro advised to build using
make, later on make -i to get through doc building stage.

Summary:

  PASS 10194
  FAIL 6

There were 3 expected failures (see fntests.log for details).

(The 6 FAILS are the usual errors for MinGW)

In addition, I got ~20 of errors like:

:
  test_system.m .........................................../date.m:
Permission denied
X:\programs\msys\home\Philip\octdev\octave-3.6.4-rc1\scripts/date.m:
Permission denied
X:\programs\msys\home\Philip\octdev\octave-3.6.4-rc1\scripts\audio/date.m:
Permission denied
:

I don't know why these occur, this started with Octave-3.6.3.

Otherwise, octave-3.6.4-rc1 seems to perform OK with some of my own work
scripts.
