Hi Nir,
I haven't been maintaining that package for a long time now, and my name should be removed as maintainer. Also, the package should probably be moved to extra rather than main. From what I read, it seems that the issues have already been fixed, and the package just needs to be released. If you check it out from source, you'll get essentially the same thing as you would from an O-F release.

I haven't been working on any Octave Forge stuff for a while, due to lack of time. My own versions of my code, which are working, are available at http://pareto.uab.es/mcreel/Econometrics/MyOctaveFiles/

Examples that use the code are at http://pareto.uab.es/mcreel/Econometrics/Examples/

A single archive that contains all of this stuff is at http://pareto.uab.es/mcreel/Econometrics/Econometrics.tgz

Best,
Michael

Michael, you're listed as the maintainer of econometrics. Can you
upload a new version of the package?
