Hi Nir,
I'm not sure how much use it gets, I haven't had much feedback. You're welcome to maintain it, and I thank you for taking on the job. If you want to add any of the code from my own versions, which I linked to in my last message, you're welcome to take the code and add the GPL to the top, and include it in the package.

in Octave Forge, maybe in the Extras folder.

I'd be willing to take over as the official maintainer for the time
being, so that we can release a new version that's compatible with the
