Hi Carnë,

I think we all agree there are too many apparently disconnected docs for such a common issue. IMHO, documentation should be as centralized as possible. I would replace all those building instructions by something like this in the wiki:

BUILD INSTRUCTIONS:

-- clone the repository (hg clone http://octave_is_cool.org)

-- read the README

Every time a new comer asks: "Where should i start?", we would answer those two never-changing steps.
