As far as I can see in the orginal e-mail he is talking about
differential equations, not speceifing whther PDE or ODE or DAE. He
mentions as example PDEs but he also mentions a ODE solver. Therefore
I mentioned Sundials. They have an octave interface and I do not know
how much better (probably it has more options) than daspk it is.
