Michael,

I will try to find some time either this weekend, or next weekend to take a look at supporting LLVM 3.2 and 3.3. Currently, I think it might make the most sense to check for the LLVM API version number directly.

Max,

The llvm website says 3.3 was "released" on 17 June.
The version in Fedora 19 says: llvm-3.3-0.6.rc3.fc19.x86_64
which does not quite read like a final release.  But, it
should be true that they will not make more changes to
the API or file locations for 3.3.

Currently, the Octave devel build on Fedora finds the llvm 3.3
files, but a test for functionality fails so it turns off JIT.

As we discussed, a complete test for a working llvm seems
to be a bit tricky.  Just testing on the API does not catch
the problem of files having been moved around.

Anyhow, I hope you can look at this sometime before the
planned next release of Octave.  John decides on the release
schedule and he is working on it right now.

Michael
