Carlo,  with your script I'm still unable to edit a file.  Which qscintialla 
port are you using?  I'm using 2.7.2_0

port installed qscintilla
The following ports are currently installed:
  qscintilla @2.4.6_0
  qscintilla @2.7.2_0 (active)
